This store space was previously a Bulthaup showroom designed by John Pawson. We wanted to respect the shell of the Pawson scheme, the legacy of which lay in large limestone slabs and elegant floors. On the shop front, we changed the window frames into solid wood. Inside, we exposed any interesting segments of the original walls to bring some unexpected moments. A new staircase extended the shopping experience down into an expansive basement. New light wells were introduced into the flooring to enhance the lower level.
