Powell Tuck Associates is an award-winning architecture and design practice based in West London. 

Our considered approach delivers elegant solutions that understand how people live within spaces. We design with an enthusiasm for fine detail, creating elegant spaces tempered by the use of honest materials, and a touch of the unexpected, to give our projects a sense of crafted quality.

We understand that in tandem with high creativity; our clients need a well-managed process in combination with quality design. We believe fervently in a process of inclusive conversation to generate a shared team purpose, enabling all of our projects to meet the high standard of end product which fundamentally defines our practice’s work. 

By encompassing architecture and interiors we have become accomplished in bespoke solutions for clients in new and existing buildings, in both urban and rural environments. London projects form the extensive backbone of our portfolio, along with a growing list around the country: including Wiltshire, Yorkshire and Durham.

Background
The practice was founded in 1990 by Julian Powell Tuck, who in 2010 handed the reins to our current directors Adrian Lees and Angus Shepherd, both who had worked with Julian since the practice’s founding. The strength of this long association is a collective experience that evolved through varied projects, giving the practice a core passion for challenging design with a strong conviction for solutions of high creativity, whilst a functional and strong quality in the built instigation. The value and benefit generated through such extensive and collaborative working relationships continues with the practice’s senior associates Steve Appleby and Hugh Mackay.

Our buildings are designed to stand the test of time, and we look to use sustainable materials and energy systems to reduce the carbon footprint of our projects.
