Watch — An Architectural Tour of Barlby Road
In this film, Domus Nova interviewed Powell Tuck Associates director Adrian Lees about our latest residential project. We look at why designing in response to site constraints sparked such creativity at this unique North Kensington home.

The Modern House: Angus and Sarah Shepherd on
reviving a 1960s home in Dulwich
AUG 23
Practice partner Angus Shepherd and wife Sarah Shepherd were interviewed by The Modern House to discuss their midcentury renovation.
Life on the Estate
The family home of practice partner Angus Shepherd features in a new book entitled ‘Dulwich Mid-Century Oasis’ that celebrates the post-war British design of housing estates of Dulwich.
Inside, Angus and his family discuss the appeal of the 60s property and its surrounding landscape—praising wide front doors and harmonious separations between the public and private parts of the house.
View more from this Powell Tuck project and basement extension here. Discover the joys of Dulwich architecture with the author’s talk and fully illustrated book now available at RIBA Books.
August, 2022
We were very proud to have site specific performance THE鍵KEY staged in Angus Shepherd’s home. Angus is one of PTA’s directors.
Fresh from its sell-out Tokyo run, this site-specific, Anglo-Japanese work invites audiences to become voyeurs as they move freely around a private residence to eavesdrop on small ensembles of singers, a dancer, and Japanese and Western instruments as this intimate drama unfolds…
We were very pleased to be involved in this exciting project.
RIBA Ambassadors
Our strong team of RIBA Ambassadors - Asia, Joanna, Elisa and Giulia worked with fabulous children from the Maria Montessori School in Hampstead on two themes: Light and shadow in Architecture and Designing for underwater and moon settlements.
We were very impressed with the results!

Peering into Private Lives
We had a fantastic evening presenting a talk and a performance sample to provide insights of THE鍵KEY: Francesca Le Lohé ‘s new work inspired by Junichiro Tanizaki’s book of the same title ‘The Key’ (1956).
After a complete sell out in Tokyo THE鍵KEY is going to be presented in Angus’s house (one of the Directors) in August this year.

Powell Tuck Associates has won an International Property Award in the category of Architecture Single Residence for Devon House, South West England. Awards Ceremony took place in October 2018, in Savoy Hotel, London.
The UK Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, The Earl of Liverpool, and Lord Thurso, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.
We are very proud that our project - Camden House has been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards 2018. The house has been converted from the old Milkwood Studios built in 1980s for Monty Python.
The challenge was to turn a series of buildings into a home. We joined the disconnected small rooms and introduce more light into the vast main living space. We improved the layout with a new entrance that could maximise potential of the building. Incorporating existing finishes - pine floors, concrete and brickwork worked particularly well. This was a great project and an opportunity to create bespoke and fun design.
Our Oxford Gardens Project featured on George Clarke's Old House, New Home Channel 4.
The refurbished and converted Monty Python’s Milkwood Studios Project we completed recently, was featured in the October Issue of Vogue.

Thank you all, who were able to come to our summer party last June. It was great to see you all. We had the most wonderful evening for a party!
As a part of the London Festival of Architecture we've organised a trip to Metropolis Recording Studios in Chiswick. We set of from our office on Saturday morning and made our way to the Old Powerhouse building in the most enjoyable way - guided by Caroline Macmillan of The West London Walks.
It was great to revisit Metropolis Recording Studios and we received some fantastic feedback from our guests. Thank you all for joining us!
